WIN (Women in Niagara) is a networking group created to

inspire enterprising women. Build alliances in a fun

interactive environment through learning, laughing and

sharing.

WIN was started in 2002 when it was recognized that

approximately half of SBCN's club members were women.

Women lead very busy lives, juggling work, family and

community activities and as such, network and do business

differently. WIN provides a fun and supportive atmosphere

with membership being open to all women.

To join WIN only, the cost is $95 + HST/year. The cost

for Small Business Club Niagara members to join WIN is

$70 + HST/year (SBCN membership is $125 + HST/year).

Membership pricing effective May 1, 2008.

Women's Employment Mentoring in Niagara (WEMIN) Program

After a successful pilot project, Women in Niagara has launched the Women's Employment Mentoring in Niagara (WEMIN) program. The WEMIN program will help increase the success of women facing barriers to employment by pairing them with professional mentors who will help them navigate a return to the workforce. Through weekly one-on-one meetings, mentors will offer their expertise and knowledge to help empower women from the YWCA Job Route program, Folk Arts Council of St. Catharines Crossroads, CAIPS, Women's Resource Centre of West Niagara and Niagara Women's Enterprise Centre. To become a mentor or for more information, please contact Josie Jansen, Executive Director, Small Business Club Niagara at 905-685-6100.

Pajama Program - Niagara Chapter

The Pajama Program is a not-for-profit organization that provides new pajamas and books to children in need. The goal of the Pajama Program is to provide a loving environment for children in Niagara and give them hope for a better tomorrow. Many children in Niagara live below the poverty line and do not have the comfort of warm pajamas on cold nights.

We are pleased to announce that over 6000 pairs of pajamas and 11,000 books have been distributed to children in Niagara since the program was launched in November 2007.

Please call the SBCN/WIN office at 905-685-6100 if you are interested in applying to be a receiving organization, are planning a pajama drive or would like to drop off items collected. To link to the Pajama Program website, please click on the logo. Please email info@sbcn.ca for more information.

Together we can provide the children of Niagara with warm nights and sweet dreams.
